Graphics Gangster - Web Ninja - Code Mercenary

Hello, My Name is Joshua.

I'm a web developer, graphic artist, video game nerd and professional geek. I'm kind of a big deal... ok not really, but It's nice to have goals.

In 2009, I began providing technical consulting, marketing support, and general development services to individuals and small businesses in Orange County, CA. Since then, I've had the pleasure of working with a wide variety of companies, and on an even wider array of projects.

I believe that the web is one of the last great mediums for creative work. The ability to design, build, and implement stunning and impactful interfaces, that focus on sharp aesthetics, intuitive controls, and a rich user experience, is paramount to the success of any business. I strive to make my everyday, about doing just that. Except Saturday and Sunday... those days are reserved for playing with my dogs.

Previous projects and happy clients!

No project is too big, or too small. With enough coffee, I can do it all!

Beyond HTML & CSS.

1. Design

The key to good user experience is solid design. The core tenets of an intuitive design are easy to understand controls and clear messaging. You want to ensure that your users can easily navigate the site, find exactly what they're looking for, and take action.

2. Development

In addition to having a good design, it is imperative to build a quality product. Standards compliant markup, cross browser compatibility, and a responsive application are just a few of the things you can do to improve the quality and the SEO of your site.

3. Engineering

Some folks don't understand the complexity of building modern websites; “just throw some pictures on there, type a little text, and we're done”. - Not quite. A professional website is a piece of software, and should be built in exactly the same way; to ensure the integrity of the data, user information, and your business.

4. Strategy

Websites are a powerful information medium. Pretty much anyone can have a website these days, so what do we do to set you apart? We work to build your website as a larger part of you and your business' brand identity.

5. Branding

Your website should serve as an extension of your business. Clients and users will use your website to gather information, contact you, and (most importantly} give you their money. You want to earn their trust by providing an online presence they can identify with.

6. marketing

We have a solidly designed, well built web property that serves as an extension of your business that people can relate to. It's time to spread the word! We'll merge all of your marketing materials with your website branding to create a cohesive and unified marketing presence which will drive business and increase profits.

Work Process

"Plan your work, work your plan, and your plan will work out."

All projects should have some sort of plan or road-map. You wouldn't drive across the country without a map or GPS right? Oh... you would? Well, you're braver than I am. I can't imagine committing to any endeavor without having a plan. That's why I've put together this streamlined example of the basic process I use, during the planning phase of my projects.

1. Idea
2. Sketch
3. Design
4. Develop
5. Test
6. Launch

The truth is, that I don't believe in wasting time; yours or mine. Having a battle strategy ensures that we execute with precision, and purpose. It also ensures that we have an idea of how to handle any unexpected hurdles as they arise.
